Our meditation Teacher Andrea Bradley has been meditating for more than 30 years, researching and teaching meditation for 15 years. She teaches both adults and children, drawing on her experience as a child care worker a fully qualified youth worker, and a college lecturer. The styles of meditation taught include; guided visualisation, mindfulness, Buddhist and other traditions. Andrea provides courses that are suitable for beginners and more experienced meditators, if you are unsure which course would be most suitable for you please ask and Andrea will be happy to help you choose.
Andrea has developed courses (details below) that are based on robust research applying meditation techniques as solutions to the problems presented by modern life such as stress, medical conditions, self development. Some of these course incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Techniques (CBT) Mindfulness Based Cognitive Techniques (MBCT) Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) NLP and Self hypnosis. In recent years meditation, Mindfulness meditation in particular has been found and scientifically validated to be an effective way of dealing with Pain management, depression and anxiety and stress management. With a background in education, and a partly based research degree, Andrea has work to bring together the best in good practice in these areas and offers courses that are evidence based and comprehensive. These courses have a number of delivery options and run at various locations throughout the year. These can be offered in house for companies and community groups, can be offered 1 2 1 as a therapeutic package or as workshops, weekly courses or monthly courses at our centre and other venues.
